Blood pressure, sorted quietly
Ola checks it every three months and rings if anything drifts. I have come off one tablet altogether.
I had been on three blood pressure tablets for years and nobody had reviewed them properly since my husband died. I was dizzy most mornings.
Ola, the practice nurse, sat with me for half an hour, checked my readings against what I was taking, and spoke to Dr Hartley the same afternoon. They took one tablet away and asked me to keep a diary for a fortnight.
The dizziness went. She still rings every three months, on the day she says she will.
